Hello everyone,

I have just finished my P&L for 2008-2009 Financial year, just wondering how everybody went??? i guess trying to put my own results into perspective.

My figures inc brokerage are

BOUGHT: 67006.6
SOLD: 62405.8

LOSS: -4600.9

has anyone else calculated this year, well, I for one am hoping to make at least 4600 in 09-10.

hope your final figure was more pleasing than mine!

cheers

Lost about 5K but that was due to my own stupidity and lack of knowledge at the time. Nowadays I would probably have lost a few hundred bucks on those positions, and made some on others. But the beating made me save 20% loss on my super - if I had done what others did and done nothing. So I consider it a good lesson and between shares and super have come out in front, so to speak.

But I feel less knowedgable now (12 months later) than I did then.

I started in November for the first time Have traded quite heavely during that time. My total profit to date 62,572.60
Year not over yet this includes my heavy loss with Babcok and Brown next year will be my first full year so am learning watching hope to do better.:D

I bought them at .32 cents a few years ago and bought a further parcel of around 6500 at .15 to bring down my average :confused:so I would have made a loss if I sold yesterday

I bought share a few years ago is what I said I didn't trade.
I just bought shares and hoped to become rich. bit dumb
I bought a game called cash flow quadrant that turn my lights on.
That is when I realised I could make money buy trading shares .
Started trading shares in November big difference I didn't trade back then.
:)

Didn't trade shares as such this year, but my super became my FoF playground and has a 10% gain there - although that's all unrealised gain. Most of my cash is being concentrated on a property which has gone up around 15% this year (based on recent listings), which in theory brings me a net gain of more than 50% this year ROI, which, again, unrealised. So, on paper, it looks like I've done very well, but in practice, nothing has happened. ;)

how does 10% gain on trading + 15% gain on property averages out to 50% gain?

maybe he put $50k deposit on a $200k property. the property has since gone up 15% to $230k. his $50k is now $80k, in that example a 60% ROI.

cheers
