I laughed! They way the guy got those hippy's to work for them for nothing and MAKE THEM PAY FOR THE FOOD!!
 
I think it is a brilliant show, very inspiring!

I only caught the last few minutes of last night's episode, but i saw last weeks about the Eco Arch.

The host did a good job on the Top Gear test track too... if my memory serves me right!
 
An excellent program made all the more interesting and enjoyable by the presenter and the delightful theme music.
Always amuses me how far over budget, both time and money, each project goes. In spite of that there are some inspirational building outcomes.
 
Fantastic show. I have also been watching it for years on Lifestyle channel. Kevin McCloud is a great presenter and never mocks anyone, even if he is a bit miffed sometimes.

I loved the way "the man" last night used his old bus as a truck to move materials around. He also had an interesting mixture of high and low tech. 4km of wiring wasn't it? High tech material for the roof water proofing. I would like to know if his underfloor heating method (using solar heated water I think it was) is successful.
 
last few weeks have been great homes, the one a week ago i believe was so fuel efficient they were selling power back to the grid, so the house was returning 2000 pounds profit on the energy alone..

these guys making a wall from tyres and were extremely clever..

the one aspect i questioned was the plastic roof and embedding tyres in the ground, i am not a fan of petrochemicals leaching fumes in the home, earth timber and stone is ok, but they were into plastic roof and also an insulation made from recycled plastics..

i know someone who built his home entirely the same way, using second hand timber and rock from the block, the place is fantastic and will outlast anything built today by 100's of years.. cost was 28k back 20 years ago

but the show is by far the best in terms of format, watching a home go up and seeing the disasters and the gems..
 
Big fan here also.

Only one of the few shows each week I religiously sit down and watch. This season has had some ripper homes.
 
I too agree that its one of the best shows on tv. Use to watch it when I lived in the UK and was stoked to see it on the ABC.

Thats one thing the Brits have going for them. The good quality homegrown tv programs that they make. As opposed to that rubbish we make.

Especially all that soppy ****e they're coming out with these days.
 
My favourite show too and then there is Time team. Tuesday heaven.
I also loved Gardens of the world. The Pommies make the best shows
