My son has a pet mouse. Im not sure if we import gm veggies or not but would gm foods affect it or other pets?

Natural, not processed in any way, is by far the best food for the mouse IMO.

Also, make sure the mouse is not eating any plastic. Houses, wheels, food bowls etc in the cage - mice will often attempt to eat these. From my experience it eventually kills the mouse, generally from cancer.

Another one is the water. Let the tap water sit 24 hours in a jug before giving it to the mice - the chlorine will evaporate during that time.

I've had a lot less trouble with fish since I started only using water from the hot tap (let if cool first). Not sure if this offers any benefit to mice however, but presumably it kills any nasties in the water.

We have had this mouse about 5 years now. The reason I asked about GM foods is that he had a reaction to some veggies I put in his cage. He looked like one of those rolly dogs (shar pei) for about 2 weeks so wasn’t sure if it was an allergic reaction or what.

I’m actually a little spooked on the whole gm foods thing.

There's plenty of info on the net to the effect that GM = toxic especially to mice, rats etc.

I personally want nothing to do with it until such time as it is applied for some motivation other than pure profit. It could be a great technology if it were properly applied - but what they're doing thus far is about profit and nothing else.
