lived through it , the rock and roll was interesting ( in places ) , and my distracted peers left plenty of opportunities elsewhere , especially if you avoided the corrupting education system BTW those hippies saved the West from an overly extended and pointless war in Vietnam , but almost nobody learned from that ( Iraq , Afghanistan as examples )
