Gambling Stocks - A New Bubble?

Could we see a mini bubble form around the gaming sector in Australia?

I think PBLs obvious stance with the Gambling & Gaming industry is saying lots. That move has caused me to think about this sector and it may have the same effect on many others.

Furthermore - JUM is rising steadily and GLO has just hit 5c after a low of 3.5c. It looks as thought something is starting to heat up. Could a mini bubble be forming?

I'm not so sure. They seem to be in the Retail/Staples industry/sector.

A few others that come to mind are:
Aristocrat - Pokies Manufactorer
Stargames? - as above

Perhaps we could start a list? I'm only aware of these two and GLO, JUM and now PBL.

Also, GLO have said in a few of their latest statements, and i've been hearing the same from various companies, that they're is going to be a wrath of takeovers in the sector. Perhaps thats why JUM and GLO are on the up recently?

JUM holds a significant stake in GLO. Perhaps they're looking at buying them out? This would be a good move in my mind. GLO are cheap atm. But JUM would do well to expose their lotteries the GLOs customers. Could be fantastic think.

Pods would seem to be on the right track here,
as many speculative ventures should benefit
from some positive cycles coming into play,
over the next calendar year ... particularly,
the gambling and horse-racing industries.

JUM/GLO ... looking ahead, February 2007 would
seem to give us a good chance of a takeover,
paying particular attention to these key dates:

02-07022007 ..... BIG news to lift JUM off its lows,
but 2 opposing cycles may result in flat trading, in
the first few days of this period.

06022007 ..... GLO ... positive focus, as long-term
changes come into play.

08-09022007 ..... JUM ... details of hitech changes(???)

15-21022007 ..... GLO ... especting BIG rally here.
