I've just applied for a new IB account and have elected to deposit funds via wire transfer. The account details that IB have given me are for an Australian account (Citibank) with a six-digit BSB number. I'm transferring in Aussie dollars so it had me thinking, can I just use a normal internet banking transfer through my ANZ account, or do I have to go to a branch and ask for a "wire transfer" and complete the forms and other rubbish, which I had to do in the past when I transferred $US to an overseas account? If anyone has successfully done it in the former method it'd save me a lot of hassle.
