Full CY 2024 Stock Tipping Competition

End of November Update for the 2024 CY Competition. My apologies to all for the tardy update and also for my slow Company updates for November. My penalty: If I win 1st prize I'll donate it back.

A few tipsters have some Company updates to do. At this last hurdle in the Comp I would hate to see names disappear from the spreadsheet and the chance of missing out on prize-money.

I'll check Dividends this afternoon.

At this stage @UMike still leads with an unbelievable 123%
@access in second spot with 35.11%
@IvoryWolf just behind in third spot with 35.06%

Best Tipsters for November - @Knobby22 up 9.74% - @Als2own up 9.47% - @Ferret up 8.47% - @houtman up 8.37% - @UMike up 8.25%
Best Stocks for November - 1AE up 50% - WBT up 35.96% - MSB up 34.09% - OCC up 30.65% - SPL up 22.34%

Nah - would be the first to vote to not worry about implementing 'tough love' - it's only a small handful of updates that are missing and it's a crazy time of year. How fascinating is the spread in the first column of the competition, huh? Would be a shame to ruin the final standings with a default at this stage... let it ride!

And great observation @Dona Ferentes - no-one with 4 green at all - goes to show the difficulties in stock picking this year.

although @Dona Ferentes had a very nice run with the four picks in the green , it gave us all something to chase

My aim is to appear in the first column, the one on the left. Anywhere there will do. At one stage I was in the third column just above the indices.

End of Week 1 update for December so far in the 2024 CY Competition.
I now have all dividends paid for the full year entered for all Companies into the spreadsheet.

At the moment:
1st: @UMike .........up 115.15%
2nd: @IvoryWolf .. up 42.54%
3rd: @access ........ up 41.32

Best mover so far this month (thank god) is @debtfree up 11.71% pushing me back up the ladder. Thanks BVS up 43.51%.
I've sent a PM to @basilio and @Logique2 for their last company updates, hopefully we hear from them soon to enable me to insert them into the ladder where they belong.

@basilio had last prize locked in but it looks like he's dropped the ball meaning @rcw1 or @barney might be in for a C note. Unless, he's posted in the missing company thread the last week.

I just realised there is a prize for last place ... why the hell have I been buying my doggy stocks over the last week!

Ah yes I remember ... to try and save some semblance of any credibility I might have had at some point in a previous life

Yes @basilio crept in and posted, he's done a mighty job as I think he's been there all year.

End of Week 2 update for December so far in the 2024 CY Competition.
Just need @Logique2 to update to activate Dec to include his portfolio in it's rightful position. I do hope he is OK and just on a break.

At the moment:
1st: @UMike .........up 125.81% ...... there is no stopping MSB is there, up nearly 500% so far this year.
2nd: @access ...... up 55.05% ....... has added 10.47% this month and jumping up into 2nd place. OCC up 41.36% this month so far.
3rd: @IvoryWolf .. up 35.04% ...... dropped a little profit from last week by SPR pulling back in price but it's still up 180% for the year.
