Anyone have a secret method of getting rid of frogs that congregate around your pool at night,
place I'm in has a pool and the noise, sheeesh, talk about hoping mad lol -

and do they sit there watching for you and as soon as you appear they shut up...
(yep, frogs - Cane toads haven't arrived yet!)

Can anyone lend me a 12 gauge :shoot:

Did you actually record that noise from your own property?

dont have a 12 guage nor advice on how to get rid of the frogs... but it must be a good sign that the area you are in is very healthy. the eco-system is well balanced with clear air, water and land... frogs breed like rabbits if everything is perfect...

actually... wouldn't a dog - something like Julia's - would keep them at bay?

korrupt, I momentarily wondered the same thing myself but then realised that dogs are motivated in their territorial instincts by something moving on their property. The frogs are usually well concealed, especially at night, and I doubt most dogs would show any interest.

In this part of Queensland the frogs are only noisy if there is rain imminent.

Coffeeking, the noise isn't any worse than the screeching of fruit bats and many birds, and at least the froggies are very cute.

Wow - sounds like some of the tracks you hear in an inner city nite club!

A reptile (particularly the legless kind) is probably your best bet.
