I would like it stated that Mr.Rudd does not have pigeon toes, it is just the way he walks, and I apologise for any inference otherwise in posts on other threads.

I think the classic case was Macquarie suing the News Ltd after its story about Macqarie getting the gold and miners and investors getting the shaft after it bought the beaconsfield mine debt for $300k in very dodgy circumstances and then had made $27m and counting up until the mine disaster.

Didn't hear the outcome, only that after initiating the case the Macquarie bankers (our own little squid!) were trying to supress many of the details of how they bought and were running Beaconsfield.

All the mine debt was paid off in October 2009 by Beaconsfield Gold. Macquarie transferred the debt to Beaconsfield.
All the profit made by Macquarie was shared amongst the miners - so no profit was made by Macquarie.
