Just finished reading an excellent article in December 'The Monthly'.
"Feeling Lucky? What drives Economic Optimism"
By Gideon Haigh
If you ( like me )haven't read any texts on the psychology of the market, this is a great and entertaining primer.
on optimism bias, irrational exuberence, how you feel the lows harder than you enjoy the highs, herd mentality, etc etc
I'm the newest of newbies and found it fascinating which suprised me.
And if that's not enough there is an article by Don Watson on America just prior the election, equally worth price of admission.
And no, I don't work for the mag.
Cheers Klink
