Just wondering if anyone is using eSignal for live ASX data, either with their charting package or as a feed for other software such as Amibroker.

I know this has been asked many times but seem to keep hitting the same brick wall. I'm getting really sick of what's on offer for day trading Aussies, both here and with the US ASX alternatives( eg IB). I'm not looking for a new broker, just want to use the feed and platform for charting/depth if it's any good.

Anyone?

Cheers

Thanks guys. Seems to be a real trade off at the moment, nobody offering everything in one package. Was even thinking about writting my own application in VB.net so I could include a real time scanner but the only ones I could find who could supply the whole data feed seems to be Iress who want $1000/month for a single user data feed! Little above my level just now.

Whats wrong with IB for ASX data??

Good question.
I haven't been able to see ASX data demo with IB. Only seen the US stuff but the charts still look clunky and the feed very slow. Would love to get an actual demo with them - any ideas how? Plus I can't really see the costings if I only use IB for a data feed. I don't want to actually trade with them, what is the minimum account I need to set up? Doesn't seem to be much info there for Aussie traders - or am I totally missing something obvious?

If for some reason they are no good whats wrong with http://www.boursedata.com.au/

Only now just had a quick look at that website but seems to be a total re-badge of Paritech trading platform......?

IB minimum account opening is $10,000 USD I think and they have min monthly commision too. But you will not get a more useful data feed. You can do anything with it via API.
No one uses their charts.

No Bourse is a standalone. their own data and software.

Similarly, I was trying to find a live ASX data feed for Tradestation, but it seems nobody does it - it's quite bizarre that what is probably the single most popular charting package for day traders doesn't have access to the ASX. I'd be interested to hear what other day traders on the ASX use.

Thanks for the info TH
