EMvision Medical Devices is an Australian medical device company developing medical imaging technology that utilises electromagnetic microwave energy to create images of the human brain and other organs (EMVT).

The company aims to develop and commercialise its proprietary medical imaging technology to provide a safe, portable and low-cost medical imaging tool that can be used at the point of care for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and other medical applications.

It is anticipated that EMV will list on the ASX on 30 November 2018.

Picked this company in the yearly comp. Speculating that anything can happen with the price if their technology is adopted by big Pharma.

You'll be happy with the recent price performance. I managed to hop on earlier in the month. The biotech sector appears to be attracting attention recently after having been in the doldrums for a while.

This company is worth a look into for anyone interested in a more early stage health care technology business. They are developing portable electro-magnetic body scanning/imaging technology. Their lead product is a portable EM head scanner for use on suspected stroke patients. The idea is that they can be used in hospital but also in an ambulance by paramedics. From what I have read of the company's materials, early diagnosis of the nature of stroke (hemorrhage or clot) can significantly improve treatment. The technology has come out of Uni of Qld research.

Market cap is $34.55. Trading liquidity is tight.

There is an investor presentation out that is worth having a look at. What I found interesting is the reference to consumables. One test = one cap = US$10. Interesting.

Having a look. Stroke is a real nasty. Time is of the essence, to determine ischemic versus haemorrhagic. They're still going to use MRI/CT for a while (until the algorithm gets better)

I like the next development, in ambulances
Next generation device that intends to speed up pre-hospital triage and create opportunity for earlier treatment choices pre-hospital

EMV Tipped for Sept Stock picking compo.

I like their latest announcement that caused the stock to gap up with good volume...

Could be a bit of a breakthrough if these portable devices can be commercialised IMO.

Wheel the machine to the patient rather than drag the patient to the machine... ?
