hello everyone im currently undertaking a business and law dual degree and want to get involved/employed in my chosen area that being banking/finance/stockbroking

this sounds a bit embaressing but...how on earth do i get involved/employed part-time whilst still at uni???

any help would be great as currently i have no clue however am hungry to enter into the sector and build a career

cheers

im doing a property economics degree... because its quite specific a lot of the property companies/a-reits come directly to the uni to poach undergrads....

however this has changed now cause of the cred crisis...

i was lucky to get in this january before we knew the full extent of the problems...

so depending on your course, the uni usually helps you a bit with contacts...

also look at the companies that are in your field, look at applications for undergrad/grad programs... however usually for like a job to start in February, applications close the previous June.... so think ahead

You can check with your uni's lecturers, usually they have solid contacts in the industry.

this may sound as stupid as the question, but search and apply
I work as a consulting engineer as I finish my 5th Year Petroleum Engineering

You want to do what while you're at uni????

Here's a tip - work on destroying your liver and getting the girls....

PS - doesn't your uni have a job help centre or equivalent?
