I hope this thread is appropriate. It was prompted by comments on the job satisfaction thread and by comments on the NEA thread in relation to Glassdoor.
A look at Glassdoor indicates that it is a website, mainly USA but also here, where current or previous employees can rate a company. They do this in relation to culture and values; work/life balance; senior management; compensation and benefits; and career opportunities. Comments can also be lodged.
Ultimately each company ends up with a Star Rating from 1 to 5.
I had a quick look at some companies I hold or have held. Obviously bigger companies attract more reviews.
The highest rating I found was 3.9 and the lowest 1.4.
The breakdown was:
SEK 8 reviews, 3.9 stars.
CBA 83 and 3.8
OKN 13 and 3.5
SUN 22 and 3.4
TLS 122 and 3.4
BHP 157 and 3.3
WOW 20 and 3.2
IIN 22 and 2.8
NEA 10 and 1.4.
I realise there may be other factors with such a review site but nevertheless found this of interest.
