If facts and numbers can not change your view, nothing will ever do

80k a year in a 340m country

"Number and Rate of Master's Degree Holders. As of 2021, 24.1 million Americans held a master's degree (13% of the workforce). In the academic year of 2019/20, about 843,450 students were awarded a Master's degree in the United States. The number of Master's degrees awarded is projected to increase by 16.5% in 2030."

So h1b visas represent let than 1/10th of yearly new master graduates

And they are needed in the US, at least until the next recession.

The post graduate workforce in the US is basically bigger than our full workforce.

The numbers do not match your arguments.

As for immigration locking jobs and unfair competition, i went thru that personally here in Australia where absolutely no one cared or still care about IT and any cricket lover with a laptop suitcase is assumed to be an IT genius.

So yes, migration is a destroyer, and the bull**** about taking only jobs that natives do not want to do is well past its best before date both in the US, Europe and here.

But h1b, on numbers, are very clearly not an issue, that is all i want to state.

On principle, on a matter of image, etc sure, but based on facts
