I think small priced stocks are still the best playing field for most traders.  The only big fish in this space are the microcap funds.  I don't believe the microcap funds attract the 'best and brightest', so whilst this space is definitely manipulated, I don't think it's a very sophisticated form of manipulation.  You can still win trading ASX speccies, but it's obviously not scalable.
