While surfing today the nose of my surfboard center punched my face between my nose and top lip.

Managed to stay conscious, blood in the water, the music from Jaws started to play, a young bloke offered to take me in etc, good news didn't damage the surf board ($1K Firewire).

Lucky I didn't lose my front teeth but got 4 stitches, the Irish doctor at Mandurah hospital put in 5 but took out the 5th again wasn't happy at how it looked.

I guess I'll change my avatar to scar face. We had a good laugh about it after he told me how bad his needle work was except I had to hold my face together while laughing.

Sorry I digress, to assist in pain relief I have been drinking Bourbon / dry and Red wine chaser"s using a straw.

Any one done serious testing on how much more you drink doing this?
 
No nose guard on the board matey?I remember smacking my head on the Yallingup reef which egged and bled.Thankfully there was a good samaritan in the carpark with some friars balsam.Never went to the doctor though `cause i was tough in those days.:D

sorry focus, this reminds me of a team of kids I was coaching baseball, - both the pitcher and the catcher ran to catch a flyball (lollypop - straight up) - and collided - only problem was the catcher was still wearing his mask, the bottom wire of which split the catcher's lip wide open - 30mm through to the teeth - cheek flapping around - big cut. Everyone winced and looked away :eek:

I visited him after the game - home after he'd had stitiches - told him that , after that, the team stopped calling "mine! mine!" - and started calling "yours! yours!" - like you, when he smiled it hurt lol.

PS Enjoy your new image as scarface - they say it adds character to a bloke's face - Evel Knievel had thousands of women for instance - trouble was his broken bones rattled when he danced lol ;)

My girlfriend has a serious crush on Jacquin Phoenix, scar & all.
I don't think a scar (with an interesting story, I'm sure will be embellished with time :D) is going to present too much problem (I have had my lip split from skin to gum, never bothered me).

Currently have a face that looks a bit like "he was talking when he should have been listening":D:D

Might use a straw with a smaller diameter tonight got a bit carried away last night
 
lol... sorry to laugh,... but thats funny

chicks drink burbon & coke with straws all the time (well the 'lady like' ones anyway...) ... just be careful some guys don't think you're queer asking for a straw :D
