Hi Guys,

I came across this article Holiday sales tumble as US consumers cut spending however I thought to myself "I never spent more during the xmas period". I ended up spending just over $3,000 (I'm not a big spender) on Gifts for family and friends and also on myself, mainly on clothing due to the sales. I even noticed my ebay purchases up during this period.

I was wondering if everyone had spent more or less during this current xmas period? even in light of the current economic conditions.

I got a slab of XXXX so thanks for helping out with my share. I see we had a record Xmas...there is no recession.....until next month.

Bought a Wii as well as some games n extra controller for my lil bro Xmas pres.

Why not?

For those of us who weren't "drinking the kool-aid" this last year, it's been a good year!

About $35 billion is expected to be spent in the 30 days leading up to Christmas, with shoppers buoyed by low interest rates and a drop in unemployment levels.
I dislike people 'expecting' certain behavior so will personally spend less in defiance. I do what I want.
