I am cleaning out my watchlists while Mr. O'Micron decides what he is going to do, whether to just go forth and multiply or go forth and multiply and cause mayhem.

I would appreciate any additions to the list.

ID8 : This little piglet seems to oscillate between 10c and abrupt ejaculations to 40c or more but bears no long term fruit. It is said to be led by the next generation of a potential millionaires factory, private schoolboys with good connections, who allow large financial transactions to be done securely and seamlessly. CBA threw a few kopeks at this minnow. They can afford to. In this environment it is just another Growth Stock. Show me the money or take a leap in to Ross Creek from the first floor verandah of the Ross Island Hotel until January when I recover from the holiday cheer ID8.

AR9 : Now I would be the first person to admit that I am not the brightest star in the firmament but these guys have been touted as being hyper-intelligent. And for all I know they probably are. Cybersecurity and wearing casual clothing was their initial forte. They have a company based I believe in Gomorrah ACT which has been the recipient of multiple government contracts and funding as well as small amounts of revenue from, well... from I don't know. And if I don't know it is small. It also oscillates with less vigour than ID8 from the mid-teens to around 60c and seems to be heading back to a forever young torn Levi existence provided by some American mates with whom it has teamed up. AR9, mate, grab a noodle and follow the idiot down the verandah, sorry I meant to say "Ideate".

give a dog a bone (sadly off Ignore for a while)

For AR9, I feel yr pain. My arrival and part departure from this stock has been beneficial giving me a free carry, but I didn't follow through. When AR9 was flirting with 35c to 40c in Aug and Sept, I remembered a conversation with the (far smarter) guy who initially put me onto it.. In March, and half a year after its Nucleus buy, he thought upside was constrained by then adding too many new shares (diluting). He was offloading even then. Of course, the shares then ran again, and I revisited but did nothing. Now , another acquisition, and further dilution, with the capital raise not being wisely spent. So I have trimmed from the rump half, to about a third or earlier holdings. Got 21c. Will continue to hold 150,000. Won't be participating in the SPP.

Along side AR9, place TNT, WHK and SEN. You would think that cybersecurity would be an important and growing sector. Not these companies.

As we near the end of 2021, I'll nominate the whole BNPL sector as "going, going, gone." There are lots of them all headed in the same direction. APT, BTN, CI1, EPY, HUM, IOU, LBY, LFS, OPY, PYR, QFE, SMP, SPT, SZL, TYR, Z1P.

@peter2 re. BNPL and am not a stock holder or user of.
So with the holiday season shopping spree soon to be fever pitch, heard on the ABC radio today that many ppl have multiple BNPL accounts and thus, are in debt crisis.
E.g. one woman, on the pension, has eight of said accounts and has amassed $2.5k in monthly late fees. Ouch!
Just wondering what provisions the BNPL companies have in place for debt defaults, recovery and write offs etc?

i hold CCP ( bought in August 2012 @ $6.20 ) thinking there would be a meltdown circa 2013 ( if only i could get a similar 'totally wrong outcome ' like that more often )

now if you go back through their history they appear to be simply collectors of overdue debt , but they have a strong income from buying portfolios of overdue debt at cents on the dollar and THEN collecting some of that debt ( some will obviously be noncollectable , sorry but life is just like that )

now i am only guessing here but some BNPL folk will resort to selling the overdue debts to a similar company ( as CCP ) some BNPL companies will have an insurance structure set up ( maybe Credit Default swaps , maybe something else )

a well organized BNPL should survive ( but with reduced earnings for a while ) maybe even grow ( by collecting the ruins of unsuccessful BNPLs )

i guess your answer depends on the BNPL in question , insurance companies face similar challenges and survive ( with the help of a bailout or two )

i doubt someone like WES would swoop in and , pick up a wrecked BNPL , but maybe VUK or Berkshire would

May I ask posters in this thread to keep answers to DOGS OF DECEMBER 2021.

I personally have no interest in members historical, thoughts on their investments, Covid, the weather nor BNPL stocks in general in this thread. Nor anything else.

There is also 4DS which hasn’t learnt from the AKP approach in a hugely positive announcements when and why wafers need a little tweaking (read not working yet). Also there are not enough superlatives in their announcements. They need to have a chat to our friends at AKP, who after all this time of just a little tweak being needed, have never yet run out of superlatives to boost the company potential and image.

C’mon fellows, surely you know when something is not quite right with the product that there are significant global opportunities for you to achieve in a market worth $gazillions for a company such as yours with all that potential.

Thanks, @Country Lad , I'll have a look at 4DS with which I'm unfamiliar as to it's flea ridden state.

In the meantime here is my Hydrogen watch list updated to EOD today. As I've said on the Hydrogen thread it is going to take some time and big pockets and other profit making activities to get H2 to market. That appears to be why WES, FMG, IPL and ORG would appear to be in the green.

I know that in the USA, Hydrogen is on the nose.

Yappers in red on attached watch list.

What a difference a day makes. It would appear some of the dogs on this list are come to life again.

I'll post an EOD list in the Hyrogen thread.

Can I list a dog that I wouldn’t admit to myself until now? Now I am so shell shocked that I have done nothing. I am a bit ashamed of myself for making such a bad decision, the timing of it and not selling out when I should have.
