Do Bogan numbers increase the closer to recession we get?

Maybe it’s just me but I have noticed an alarming rate of mullets, V8 cuts & flanno's around lately. The other day I saw a mate’s kid running around with a rat’s tail and he said everyone at school had them. Even at a friend's bbq the other day there was a noticeable return to the past in fashion.
So I feel the following questions must be asked

Are we closer to impending doom than I thought??

Were there Mullet styles during the depression? And if so were they so bad that if you looked at one directly you would instantly develop a taste for VB, Holden/ford utes, and add the letter O to the end of everyone’s name??

Did AC/DC orchestrate the current financial crisis knowing that the bogan population would explode and thus sell more albums for their new release??

Important questions that need answers
 
It's just the CUB crowd mate.

It's been on the rise for years unfortunately.

Just look at builders utes these days. They just aren't 'builders utes' these days...

It’s a worrying trend:shake:
But don't worry you can be saved with this 10 point plan!!!

1. Get a big fat loan that you can only just afford payments on
2. Get a fuel efficient environmentally friendly car in a pastel color(after downgrading from your urban 4x4)
3. Swap from bourbon to an up market premixed drink also in a pastel color min cost $9 per 250 ml
4. Upgrade to a Mcmansion, make sure you park your boat out the front for everyone to see.
5. Listen to the soothing styles of Justin Timberlake, Robbie something (that fattish pommie singer) or whatever is the current fad.
6. Buy clothes that are 10 years to young for you but cost 5 times as much
7. Drink lattes at cafes; make sure everyone can see you
8. Talk about the share market or finance at every opportunity that no one else really understands.
9. Complain other people are not doing enough to save the environment.

Bourbon is the ultimate bogan haven't got a clue drink but tit adds make me buy it.

At least drink rum. Scotch is better.

Baby Bonus = Payrise for plenty of the outer-suburban types. The rise in birthrates will see non-bogans extinct by 2057 at the latest, or at the very least a fringe minority with declining access to pubs, ute-musters and tightarse-Tuesday cinema specials.

The Government-backed increase in birthrates is due to the "birth-FHOG", and they're desperate to cash-in.

I was picking up my wife from an appointment the other day and was waiting around in the carpark, chatting to a friend that co-incidently was there picking up his wife and about 15 teenagers walked by...

Not to sound like an old grandad shaking my walking stick but every single one of the boys had a mullet. What the? They looked like tools - badly dressed tools with their pants halfway down their butt cheeks showing off their undies. I looked at my friend and we both burst out laughing.

Now granted, maybe I'm not the epitome of cool... I schlepp around the house on weekends in clothes barely above the status of rags. I only own four pairs of shoes, but I sure hope those boys were pulling truly massive amounts of tail from looking like that. That would be the only reward for looking so ridiculous.

*squee squee squee FAWHOOOSH*
