Demo account with Interactive Brokers (IB)

Hi All

I have a question regarding the DEMO Java screen with IB.

I cannot seem to add any Australian Stocks or Options. With the demo account, are we restricted to just the US market?

I haven't paid for anything at the moment as this is the Demo version - i cannot seem to get any Aussie stocks to come up.

Demo account is to gain knowledge and information nothing is reqired to deposit its absolutely free. If IB demo account is not working try some other online platform. Enjoy trading

The Demo account only allows the same market data as what you would get for your real account, so if you have not paid for aussie data you will not get it.

Also just to clarify, a demo account is different than a paper trader account with IB, the demo account market data is free. Anyone can open a demo account as per inx on my last post.

To open a paper trading account you need to open a live account and fund it. If you do open an account, then I highly advise opening a paper trading account as this account reflects the live IB account. All data from the live account is replicated for the paper account.

That's something I wanted to ask IB Trader.

I want to test some new strategies, but need the charts. How do I go about setting up a paper trading account?
