Demi-Gods of ASF: Can I say thank you?

Hi Joe Blow, can you move this to Announcements and Site News?? Not sure if this should be in the Beginner's Lounge or Site News. Please move it to the correct section.

I know everyone else has said thank you in various posts but I want to say thank you to so many people that I doubt I will ever list them all. I will made an attempt.

These two deserve the status of Demi-Gods (or something equivalent). Their knowledge is beyond my imagination, and as a beginner, I may not know what they know but I know that they are very generous and have sacrifice much of their own time to help us all.

Of course I have not been here long enough to have any authority to name people but I hope I have the right to say THANK YOU! Maybe this post is wrong because we all have different opinions, so we are going to disagree. Thankfully there is no real status here.

Can I add my thanks to some of these individuals who gave me direct feedback from my posts (in no particular order):
ROE, burglar, Julia, Ves, So_Cynical, robusta, luutzu, DeepState, Smurf1976, skc, VSntchr

If I try to list those who either made me interested or made me jump up and say "Yes, I agree" (there's no thumbs up function here (oh well): there will be heaps of names like:
CanOz, qldfrog, pinkboy, nulla nulla, brty, McLovin, Wysiwyg, pixel, Garpal Gumnut (sorry my brain has died and I had heaps more names) There are others like pavilion103 who contribute in sections that I don't read intensely like Derivatives and Commodities. Maybe I read those sections as well and I can discover more people.

Obviously I am biased to a number of sections of this forum (but not all), so there will be other people who I do not know that have also contributed greatly.

Everyone can respond and ask Joe Blow to remove this post if you don't like it. I am writing this because I admire tech/a heaps and I think he deserved more respect in a particular post. I am not a technical person, I am an awful chart reader: so that even speaks more volumes about how he should be treated.

Last of all I want to say thank you to Springhill for welcoming me when I started a short time ago.

Faramir: just speaking for myself of course, it's so nice to read the sort of appreciation you've expressed to so many.
It really does counter the thought "why would I bother?" when reading some of the responses given to various suggestions offered to people with lots of assurance, paper 'expertise', and no real experience.

We've surely all been in that place of needing help. I've learned so much from others here, and it's great to know your experience so far has been positive. Thanks a lot for letting us know.

Thank you Julia. Just read some of my previous posts on various topics or stocks. ROE or burglar consistently give me advice. I know others do as well. Maybe I find it easier to remember their names and their avatars and that`s why I remember both of them.

I'm afraid I'm firmly in Julia's camp.
Present company accepted.

Particularly with the technical trading thread.
It became why bother.

It takes hrs to write up a tutorial.

But when I see people thinking and even accusing us of Ego's
That's when "Why Bother" rings out load and clear.

For me its not look at me look at me see how clever I am.
Its Look at what YOU can do!!

Thank you Sir Osisofliver and tech/a for replying. I admit I might have gone just a tiny bit overboard with the Demi-God description. I wanted a 'catch-phrase' to acknowledge your hard work. Everyone is very grateful and it will change how we approach many things in life.

I find it it takes a lot of post something. Asking a question is hard enough but to state something to the best of one's experience/knowledge is an extra bonus. This is why we should respect the fact not only someone has the knowledge or experience but have also taken the time and effort to share it.

I've read some of your posts and threads going back 5 years (maybe more)
They are large and in charge!

My point:
Ignore the pests, many lurkers/readers are thanking you.

Can I say how impressed I am with darkhorse70 growth and how he is maturing?

I might stop here, there are too many people I have missed.

Tech/a is right when he said that I should concentrate on myself and how I do things. Still, I can admire and respect others as well.

Someone else please take over this thread?
