Good morning everyone and welcome to the December 2018 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

The December competition is proudly sponsored by FP Markets, an Australian owned and ASIC regulated broker with over 12 years experience and 35 industry awards including Highest Overall Client Satisfaction 5 years running. They facilitate trading in equities, indices, commodities, futures, Forex and Bitcoin via their MetaTrader4 platform.

FP Markets offer 10,000+ equities, indices and commodities across all major international markets. All equity CFDs are DMA priced and 100% hedged. FP Markets are not a market maker so their interests are aligned with that of their clients. You can go long on everything listed on the ASX and international markets and they have the widest short offering of any Australian broker.

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

3. Either before or after posting your entry and before the deadline for entries you must post in the forum thread of the stock you have entered providing either a general update or a view on why you think the share price is going to increase in the short term.

4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between December 1 and December 31.

5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Friday, November 30 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

ENR for me this month. There are few upsides including making a deal with NCM. Could happen in Dec or Jan. NCM is depleting its ore body and needs some serious partners to keep Telfer a viable unit. DNH but held and it is my watch list :)

FAR thanks Joe

Bad news was duster reported November 9 "Samo-1 well unsuccessful"

Keep your eyes on the 6th Dec OPEC decision - significant production cuts could be agreed to boost the oil price = potential for a positive impact on FAR's SP.

I have tipped FAR many times in the past

The sell off has been well overdone, IMHO

Nothing moves without oil

FLN please Joe. The PVI (Positive Volume Index) looks awesome. It doesn't have any chart characteristics of a penny dreadful pump and dump. Which means there will be no falling knives or ten baggers! :)

DNK thanks Joe.
Danakali Limited (ASX:DNK) is focused on the development of the Colluli Potash Project. The Project is located in the Danakil Depression region of Eritrea, East Africa and is 100% owned by the Colluli Mining Share Company (CMSC). CMSC is a 50:50 Joint Venture between Danakali Limited and the Eritrean National Mining Company (ENAMCO).

I'm going to take a punt on PPK Group (PPK) in December. A recently announced acquisition has a lot of potential and I'm hoping there's more good news to come in December.

See my post in the PPK thread for more detail.

As the last trading day of the month falls on a Friday this month, I have decided to extend the deadline for entries in the December competition until midnight on Sunday. So please don't forget to get your entry in before then. The more entries the better, so please keep them coming. :)

Just a friendly reminder to @mcgrath111, @jancha, and @Xendragon that to qualify for entry into the stock tipping competition they will need to post in the thread of their entry as per Rule #3 as explained in the first post in this thread. Thanks for your co-operation. :xyxthumbs
