How condescending is Opera and her show. I saw it the other day, how rigged is that show. Here is some filthy rich woman, out complaining about the plight of those less well off than her.
She wasn't always rich. I haven't seen the show but don't know why you have a problem with her drawing attention to the plight of those less fortunate?
(And it's 'Oprah'.)
It's just wrong the way that a people might make and support a television programme which deals with issues in their country. Absolutely disgusting.she/they make money by drawing attention to things that are all US based.
mmmmm my problem is she/they make money by drawing attention to things that are all US based.

Hello ReeceAfter all, it's better than bloody Dr Phil, the bane of every husbands existence!!!
Cheers
Hello Reece
I'm fascinated by your comment about Dr Phil. I saw his show once and that was enough. But I have a cousin (female) who hangs on his every word as complete gospel. What is about him that's a problem for husbands in particular? The cousin mentioned above rules the domestic perch so perhaps Dr Phil reinforces that philosophy???
Hey Julia
My wife loves his show!!!! I can't stand the guy!!!!
I guess for me, what I find is that his comments are always showing up what normal men are able to do for their wives, which I might add tend to be the majority of the topics on his show! I think in principle what he has to say relationship wise is excellent, but I think it is fairly easy for a man that runs a multi million dollar TV programme to show that he spoils his wife and kids. However, for a normal working man to compete with this image is impossible! At the moment, as an accountant, I am working some 60 hours a week to try and get reports done for listed companies in time. How do I compete with Dr Phil!!!!
As a caveat, whilst my wife does watch it a fair bit, I would say that she in all honesty is very fair to me and looks after me extremely well, but if I have to hear another "but Dr Phil says......." I swear, I am going to lose it LOL!
Cheers

I'd rather watch the thunderbirds than the drivel that his played to air.Ummm... last time I checked, her primary audience was the US......... Is it unfair that she markets her program to her key geographical audience?
Look, I'm not really a fan of Oprah (what male is!!), but she does raise some very important topics sometimes, so my view is that some discussion on controversial topics is better than nothing! After all, it's better than bloody Dr Phil, the bane of every husbands existence!!!
Cheers
Sounds like you don't have a lot to worry about, Reece! And you're probably better looking than Dr Phil, huh?
Anyway, a bunch of flowers for your lovely wife will usually result in disproportionate gratitude and love! Most women are real suckers for flowers.
Don't know if Dr Phil promotes this?
Visual, for the record, i love my wife more than is describable in words, hope that clarifies the issues!!!!! Perhaps my words weren't the best when discussing the issue intially!!!!
Cheers
