Hi,

Very new to stock market trading/investing. Recently opened an international account with commsec as I see the U.S market gearing towards Dec 2018 levels.

I've read that there is a custodian fee "Custody fees are charged to accounts defined as inactive; that is, accounts holding a security position for a calendar year (1 January to 31 December) without generating a trade, or margin".

So let's say I've bought AAPL @ 10 shares. Before the 1 year mark, can i buy additional AAPL shares or any other companies' shares to be considered an active account? Or does it specifically be (Buy/sell) AAPL?

Feel silly with this question but felt I got to start somewhere.

Thanks everyone!
