Never mind escargot and baguettes, spontaneous bonfires with novel fuel sources are now the go.

Just one scene out of hundreds:

they do like a good manifestation.

My son was there, left Paris on Friday before public transport closed down. (home today, phew). He wrote
If the rioting got in to the intra mûros then it must be quite hectic in the banlieues
And said everywhere had an acrid smell. His street in the 20th:

Went there on holidays in 2017 and by chance found myself on a bus tour (a concept I'm not normally keen on) with, among others, another passenger who'd just retired from the US military.

Long story short - I distinctly recall him saying France had two good years left before this sort of thing happened.

His timing might have been a tad early but the basic point was spot on.

Anyway, here's some music to cheer you up:

That twatter thing link doesn't work now Wayne. Not signed up to it either.

What's all the rioting about?
Heard something about Switzerland also.
Haven't been MSM news watching lately as that was a part of full time trading which I'm having a break from.
Cheers

Strasbourg .. Bruxelles. As well. Marseilles is the worst now.

Twitface has changed the rules, so it's not accessible to users who don't want an algorithm to own them.

Getting back to the Hexagon, it seems, after the initial outrage, the angry mob is annoyed that working France is taking a month off and the waitstaff and dumptruck drivers are going to be hard up, with cash flow curtailed. So they're venting.

Multiculturalism only works when all the cultures involved are tolerant of each other and respectful of the civil liberties of all people. When you introduce a culture that is not just hostile to other cultures but is also authoritarian in nature, it will seek to undermine the other cultures and ultimately destroy them like a cancer killing its host.

That is what is happening France right now and to one extent or another has also happened or is happening in other places in Europe.

Misinformation about disinformation:

A couple of gooses post fake images and the BBC frames it like there's not much happening in France, in spite of hundreds of real pictures and vids.

Why?

It's occuring on twitter where truth is a side issue as there is now little fact checking since the sackings. BBC aren't showing all of it, just some highlights.

Why?
The aim is to feed racism and increase dissent.

Who is doing it?
There are a number of groups both Foreign and domestic whose interests are served.

Over the years I have failed to see what burning other peoples vehicles and setting fire to whatever will be achieving.
Is it because the rent a rabble have no hope of ever obtaining what others have through hard work and constant grind.

Give it time and you will get to see it first hand IMO. ?

In our nck of the woods the ferals out the back tend to rule the roost. The local druggies got the message loud and clear. What is ours is ours and not theirs to destroy. Amazing what a bit of pain can do only one left to deal with now and he doesn't poke is nose past the gate, in fear of might be.

He @qldfrog , how do you feel about Macron appointing a 35 year old gay photogenic Gen Y bloke to position of Prime Minister?
From Evil Murdoch press

And in the weird French model of government where the prime minister is responsible for running the government day-to-day but the ultimate power resides with the president, he is still second fiddle to Macron. But what millennial hasn’t been brought in to clean up the mess of a Generation Xer at some point, eh?

Still, it’s pretty weird and wonderful to see someone whose teen years would have been spent listening to Beyonce, Rihanna and Linkin Park now running a national government.

Attal and young ’uns like him now have quite the burden on their shoulders. Not only the usual weight of government but the pressure to prove millennials really can run the show.

The track record so far for my generation’s few national leaders has not been great.

The 36-year-old President of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, was elected last year on a platform of change and hope. This week, the country’s most notorious gang leader has vanished from prison under Noboa’s nose. And organised crime is so out of control in Ecuador that a group of masked crims broke into a TV station and took everyone hostage live on air.
In Chile, then 35-year-old socialist Gabriel Boric rose to power in 2022 under a promise to sweep away the last vestiges of Augusto Pinochet’s rule and change the constitution, all while telling everyone what a big fan of Taylor Swift he was. Fast forward two years and Boric is a complete lame duck and Pinochet’s constitution is still intact.

In 2017, baby-faced 31-year-old Sebastian Kurz was elected chancellor of Austria and appeared to be the future of European conservatism. By 35 he was all washed up. Ousted in a corruption scandal, he ran off to work for tech baron Peter Thiel.

Then there is the poster girl of millennial leadership, Finland Social Democrat Sanna Marin. She was a momentary hero to a generation who grew up on the internet and documented their every movement when she was seen partying on her weekend while running the country from 9 to 5. She was unceremoniously dumped in last year’s Finnish election and ended up coming third. At least she has more time to party.

He is the dolphin of Macron nurtured to lead after macron retires as he can not be elected again unless he does a Putin.
And as soon as appointed PM, this guy appointed his "husband" as a minister...
Should I say more..no surprise
It is a not hidden at all secret that a majority of french people believe that Macron himself in on that side.
In itself, who cares but not when this affects all selections in a government.
A new meaning and new age version of the boys's club
There is no limit on wokism when combined with WEF students
