Isn't this an absurd, and potentially misleading marketing word.

I just saw it used in a TV ad for some beauty product called Pod Puraceuticals.

Obviously the word is meant to imply that these products are similar to a pharmaceutical product and yet to my knowledge these products do not have to carry out the same rigorous testing and development procedure that pharmaceuticals do.

Just more shameless marketing garbage.
 
Yep, agree. And sometime I'm going to start a thread about the proliferation of 'natural' pills and potions which similarly can be sold freely without any testing.
 
I believe a more pressing issue is whether or not there's a buy one, get one free deal? Or, perhaps even a free ab-cruncher?
 
Well I'm prepared to sell you a bottle of Sorbolene cream for $30 with a 'lose one wrinkle, get one free' offer.
