CommSec share packs

Hi,

I'm new to stocks and considering purchasing $10,000 worth of shares via a CommSec share pack. If each share pack contains a portfolio of 6 leading blue-chip companies, does this mean then that I would get an equal value of shares in each of the 6 companies (ie $1,666)? Hoping someone who has bought one of these share packs previously might know.

Hi there,

I bought a Commsec share pack back in 1998. If you look at the Commsec website, you can put your information in and get a list of which shares you will get and how many of each you will get, before you buy them.

Yes, you get approximately an equal amount in dollar value in each of the six shares, so in your case about $1,666 in each of the six companies.
