for the record I did find the pics funny, but it has made me very cautious giving toffee to one of you nutballs on the ASF... she'd be safer in IRAQ.son of baglimit said:priceless !!!

Nice story, Smurf. It reminds me of one German Shepherd I had who ran to me in fear when a cat chased her!Smurf1976 said:I've looked after 11 different cats (not all at once) and my general experience is that young cats catch all sorts of things but the novelty wears off after a while and old cats can't be bothered catching things.
It's a bit like young people and fast cars. After a while, just getting safely from A to B becomes the priority for most and the novelty of speed etc wears off. There are exceptions with both cats and people of course.
One of my cats was once chased around the house by a mouse. Took a few weeks before she stopped creeping around corners expecting to find a mouse in the house. One of the two I have now did pick up a rat a few weeks ago, but then the rat squeaked so the cat just put it back down. The unanswered question is where the rat is now - living somewhere in the garden I assume.
