Carbon Trading companies

Hi there i have sort of had a small amount of money in shares since i was 15 or so, im now 26, and have started playing around abit more with some spare cash i have, as i figure now is the time to make the most out of everyone else's losses, so i am slowly building up my portfolia, mainly banks and so on, but i am also looking to do a bit of risky share trading, just in case they ever get lucky. anyway to my question, what companies are into the Carbon Trading market? if any? as i am being told there is big money in this? is this so? thanks

And trading banks isn't risky?


Anyway, to answer your question, Australia doesn't have an emissions trading scheme yet.

Also a hand full of company's out there that have carbon offsets that may or may not
(stupid stupid govt) be eligible to qualify as offsets under the coming trading scheme.

Because major industry has done practicably nothing in a decade of knowing this would ,
the govt is scewing the scheme to suit them, and in so doing penalize the hand full of
innovative early movers that did to something and have millions of tonnes of offsets.

I Hate pollies so much.
