Could any residents of Canberra suggest self contained apartment accommodation within walking distance of Floriade?
How big is Floriade - can you see it in a day, two days?
Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Julia,

No longer a Canberra resident, but I did live there for a while. It will take about half a day to see the main exhibit, longer if you like to linger and can find food/coffee as appropriate.

Not much accommodation in walking distance, perhaps Rydges Lakeside or somewhere near the casino? Better off staying elsewhere and getting a bus.

Easily can tour Floriade in 1 day..
You can book the Wardolf .. nice 10-15 minutes to the park over the bridge
