Hey guys. I'm new here and didn't really know where to post/ask. I've been buying silver for a while now and think it's time to sell up. Does anyone have recommendations for places that pay decent for silver in Brisbane. I've done heaps of buying but I've never sold so I wouldn't have a clue where to start. I was thinking of selling back to Ainslie but if someone else will pay more I'm all ears. Thanks

This Facebook Group is probably your best bet: https://www.facebook.com/groups/953933184652203

Lots of private bullion sales going on over there.

You could check out silverstackers if interested in peer to peer selling - avoid dealer margins and dealers often don't consider collectable a collectible premium in the price they'll pay, they just treat everything as naked bullion. I have bought from others at silverstackers but not sold anything there. It requires a leap of faith from the buyer as someone has to make the first move - didn't have any significant problems when I bought. If you meet a buyer physically, rather than deal through the post, make it in a secure location.

This topic deserves its own thread as I think private purchases and sales of physical precious metals is likely to increase in coming years.

Please carry on.

Agree work Farcebook Groups or other peer to peer methods. Dealers typically have a pretty wide spread for physical which doesn't really exist peer to peer.

But, be sure to check its real if buying.

For those who store precious metals at their home, how do you protect against theft? Do you bury it in the backyard? Have a safe? A secret hidden compartment built into a wall or wardrobe? I've always been curious about security and precious metals storage.
