As the share price failed to Rocket reality had returned once more. Maybe the enthusiasm for Copper Wolfe was a little premature as it will be the second drill hole that the results are really waiting for as the first was curtailed about 500 metres short of the target depth. So if that comes in we could possibly see over 500 metres of copper and maybe a higher percentage.
 
This second diamond drill hole is reasonably close to the first which produced 83.76m at 0.86%CuEq open at depth but abandoned at 527.9m.
The second drill hole will go to below 1,100 metres and hopes are for 650m of CuEq open at depth. However, it might not and we do not yet know the percentage of copper.
So the result could be anything from brilliant to disappointing.
The results are expected either Wednesday before the opening or Thursday.

However, failing to sell out in the mining sector has left many with nowt or sitting on worthless junk a near-busted share.

Buxton Resources has promised from time to time over the last 14 years and at one stage 85% down and needs to rise a further 120% to get back to 2009/2010 levels, from memory. Or maybe it will become a Wildcat Resources WC8 at its high point a 22-bagger since May this year. Some on rare occasions rise like a Phoenix from the rubbish dump.
 
I've no idea quite how drilling in Copper Wolf ( IGO paying the costs ) will finally work out. If they manage to get copper/moly near 1% with a depth over 600 metres then the shares have a long way to climb.
Additionally, the graphite found at Graphite Bull 100% appears to be amongst the best grade found in Australia and some places beyond.
Remembering Buxton is a high-risk mining explorer must not be forgotten with Valhalla in the distance but a basket to fall back into if it all goes wrong.
Some in the other place discuss a takeover bid for Buxton by IGO though I personally doubt their interest goes beyond Copper Wolf at the moment. Take no notice of this pure speculation.
 
September 14, 2023 - Drilling commences at the Double Magic Project, West Kimberley JV, Western Australia.
• 450 metre diamond hole to test 7,000 Seimen conductor Merlin.
• A second 250 metre hole is planned for the Dogleg Prospect.
• Drilling is 100% funded by JV partner IGO Limited.
 
I first posted on this thread in January 2014 when the new graphite find was announced.

It is not far short of ten years ago that Buxton found its first graphite so it has been a long haul. It is worthwhile looking at this now aged announcement as it showed then the great prospects for Yalbra. A bit like planting small apple and pear trees it takes a long time 'till they bear fruit.
So it's Copper Wolf, Yalbra, and Double Magic at present to the fore but several more prospects on the horizon. Assay results are due from Yalbra any day now and Copper Wolf a bit later. Double Magic was the original nickel darling that was held up but exploration is underway again funded 100% by IGO. Copper Wolf is an over 600 metre find awaiting assays.

This will take time and assays are not in for the 626 metres find of Copper and Molybdenum at Copper Wolf as yet. The Graphite at Graphite Bull, Yalbra is one of the best grades found in Australia and final assays are due. Drilling starts shortly for nickel funded by IGO at Double Magic.
Your inspired guessology might well be right but there are outcomes here for the brave worth thinking about I think.

Assays are being undertaken in Nevada for the 626-metre find of Copper and Molybdenum at Copper Wolf so results should now be fairly quick. Further tests are on the Graphite at Graphite Bull, Yalbra and is one of the best grades found in Australia and final assays are due. Drilling starts shortly for nickel funded by IGO at Double Magic.

Does not specifically cover Buxton but forecasts a 50% rise in the price of Graphite and Buxton's Graphite Resource looks set to rise and be alarmingly good.
Matters can go wrong and as I have plenty in this share there is a good reason for me to plug it. Having said that do research announcements in the last 6 months and then you may guess where this one has prospects of going to...
