Brokers offering APIs

I'm posting this here because I think it is more software related than broker related.

I'm looking to automate entry of my orders--currently doing it manually. My current broker doesn't offer an API so I'd like to explore CHESS brokers that offer an API--if one exists. Anyone using such a broker? I'm looking to use the Explore output on AB to interact with the API to place orders. If you've had personal experience with this I'd love to hear from you.

I use IB and a API you can buy from thechartist. Sure beats doing it manually and helps eliminate errors!

I am contemplating the 'Smart API' from Radge. The other option is Alera Portfolio Manager. The issue I see with APM is that I can't see any tutorials on how to use said problem without paying a third party site for a 'class' on automating through AB.

Both of these are through IB so that may be a problem if being CHESS sponsored is a deal breaker.

Maybe look at Open Markets. I wrote quite a bit of stuff based around their API years ago ( like 15 years +) until i moved to IB and IG.
