In the case of BKN there was about a million on the bid at 3.22 so anyone could easily dump a large order in there, that is unless they have an order that is bigger than the bid side and they want to keep the bidders at that price.Three substantial bidders at the close, was five earlier.The other view could be that they are making sure it doesn't climb ?Someone will explain it I guess.Always interesting to watch it happen.(click to expand)
