Wondering if it would be possible to set up a BOOK/Software/Services Forum ?

Would be interesting to get the actual readers / Users opinions

Cheers

I have considered adding new subforums to the existing forums but haven't made any definite decisions yet. But since you've started this thread I might as well as for some opinions...

Would be interested in hearing feedback from members as to what sort of additional sub-forums they think should be added next. If you think we are getting along fine as we are then that is a legitimate view as well.

I don't like a lot of slow moving forums/sub-forums as they tend to get stale with very few new threads being opened. A Forex sub-forum is one I thought may see some interest. Would also consider a Book/Software sub-forum if there is enough interest/demand.

Tell me what you think.

IMO the threads that are started for each topic are enough. it would be confusing for newbies, eg where they are supposed to post what topic and reply to where.

in this event you would still have people opening wrong threads under wrong forums etc. you would have the problem of duplicate thread topics been opened in different forums.

good point about areas been stale, may not have enough demand to keep sub forums running.

IMO i come here for stock talk, if i wanted to go to a software forum i would go to a software forum etc.

just my opinion.

Joe,

Good as it is. A forex forum would be very good but see no need for a book forum - it's just not big enough of a topic to constantly talk about. What's in the books counts which is what gets discussed already.

I think both could be good. Book and Forex. I think it could help for beginners to have a thread where they can ask for specific directions on which book to get for a particular type of application...and for older-timers who want to branch out into something else. And we can all learn about new books this way.

My desire for a Forex thread are purely selfish...I find it a pain in the neck to trade forex so I'd love the opportunity to throw my charts up here and pick the brains of all the contributors :)
