will break out the calculator , but doesn't at a quick look make it attractive to buy into BLD and accumulate SVW ( through the side door )

( i hold SVW )

but i thought they might do this ( but earlier )
 
One of The Best 4 (up 86.51%) in the 2023 Comp.
A great run last year and has added another 11.87% this year.

Commencement of compulsory acquisition

We refer to the off-market takeover bid by Network Investment Holdings Pty Ltd ACN 078 448 512 (SGH Bidder), a wholly owned subsidiary of Seven Group Holdings Limited (SGH), for all the fully paid ordinary shares in Boral Limited (Boral) contained in its Bidder’s Statement (as replaced and dispatched on 4 March 2024 and supplemented on 4 March 2024, 26 March 2024 and 12 April 2024) (the Offer).

We enclose, pursuant to section 661B(1)(d) of the Corporations Act, a copy of the ASIC Form 6021 Notice of Compulsory Acquisition Following a Takeover Bid which will be dispatched to Boral shareholders who have not accepted the Offer.

On July 8th, 2024, Boral Limited (BLD) was removed from the ASX's Official List in accordance with Listing Rule 17.14, following compulsory acquisition of its remaining securities by Network Investment Holdings Pty Limited.

still be able to gain access to this through Kerry Stokes' Seven empire .

Boral was one of the first* shares bought, back in 1984-85 pre-CGT days. Can't remember when I sold it, but was before Origin was spun out.

* others were BHP, Brambles and Pacific Dunlop. Still own BHP.
