Hi RealityCheque
I can only assume you are talking about binary options trading. For which, I am not aware of any provider having much of a selection in regards to shares. You can trade bluechip stocks like AAPL in some of the larger brokers (plus global markets such as DAX, FTSE, ASX, DOWJ etc). But as an Australian- I don't believe this would be suitable to your lifestyle as the NY open is 1:30 AM (if you live on the eastern sea board of Australia incorporating DST)
I personally am a currency trader & do on occasion use binary options to compliment my trading, but I would never put all my eggs in that basket. I trade forex primary and as a very delayed secondary I will enter a binary options trade. I use something called reverse martingale (google it), I do this during large news events based on the difference between the expected and actual news. I do this because this moves the market in a large way, its a pretty sure bet (80%) & as you read on you will understand why.
To expand on Minwa's point, the regulation is very loose at best. As far as I am aware there isn't any regulation in Australia. With binary options you are not trading against the market. You are trading AGAINST THE BROKER, the broker makes the market in which you trade. Hence why on many occasions there have been complaints that when the market is close to where you initially entered, the brokers have the ability to modify the actual markets position to suit themselves. They make their money on your losses!
Broadly binary options the rate of return is 166% based on your bet & 0% if you loose. This means you will have to win 2/3 of your trades in order to even break even. If you can do that, then you should be trading in the real market against real traders where it is fair, regulated & your returns are deserving for what you stake.
Binary's you are pushing **** up hill, in my opinion :horse:. If I were you, watch some price action videos on youtube. You will then see how the market works & what charts are actually telling you.
Dont just gamble or go by feeling on what the market is going to do, I know it looks easy. But it really is not.
Kind regards & best of luck!
Jake.
