Bike Selection

Boggo you doing Ami's ride?
I'm doing 65K. Might do the 100K if I get the time to train.

Not sure yet tech/a, I am only guaranteed one weekend off in every 28 days which makes it difficult to plan weekends in advance.

I would like to ride in that, am listed to ride in the Cancer Voices SA ride on 2nd Oct but I may end up interstate :(

We will have to cross paths one day tech/a.

That's a nice amount. I'm doing 100km around the bay in a day ride this year. Melbourne to Frankston route. Should be a good ride

Excellent, that's a well recognised event. A few people I know of go over there for that each year.

Getting hammered by flamin magpie attacks on most of my routes at the moment

Timely thread revival.

I'm getting a bike in the next couple of weeks, as a couple of months ago thru work i came in contact with some of the new "comfort" models and though wow that would be great fun and good exersize riding around on one of those.....im amazed with the alloy frame etc just how light and easy to ride modern bikes are.

Anyway after much deliberation ive settle of the bike that first turned me on a couple of months back....The Marin Stinson.

I'm only going to be doing a lazy 20 ks on a Sunday afternoon, and maybe a 30k ride home from work once a week thru the warmer 6 months of the year....i really like the comfort bikes though am still in 2 minds as per the advantages or not of 26" wheels vs 29"

I used to do a fair bit of riding but life got in the way the last 18 months. Currently doing 1 hrs walking and 1 hr on the exercise bike to try and get some fitness back so I can do some of the rail trails, Can anyone recommend a good Rail Trail in Melbourne?

You need a Marin to get up this recently added track to Belair in Adelaide
