I've googled to no avail but is there a book you can buy to learn NinjaTrader coding. Not strategies or anything but purely the mechanics of how to use the program and how to get started writing mechanical systems?

The webinars that they have on their site are not very convenient as most of them start in the middle of the night.

Re: Best way to learn NinjaTrader.

The webinars are the best free source with the disadvantage as you say of odd hours.I overcome this partly by Screen capturing the video so I can watch them at my leisure.
Big Mike's forum is the most comprehensive place for support and Big Mike has a free video in which he builds a strategy from scratch.
Also Online Traders Group has some free information and webinars on Ninja Trader as well as paid courses.
There are no books ATM as far as I'm aware unfortunately.

Um...have you guys actually looked at the help in Ninjatrader? Last time I checked there was heaps of help and tutorials on how to code. Other than that, I think its all C or C++, whichever one it is, so just Google help on those and you'll get 7 million gig on stuff to help you learn it. If, some how you are STILL unsure how to get help, then try the Ninjatrader forum, plenty of help/info there too no doubt.

Pretty sure the webinars are downloadable anyway? Can't you download ones they've done in the past on the same subjects?
