The BetaShares Australian Equities Bear Hedge Fund (BEA) is the first managed fund in Australia that provides investors with a simple way to profit from, or protect against, a decline of the Australian share market. The Fund seeks to generate returns that are negatively correlated to the returns of the Australian share market (as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 index).

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has experience investing in the ASX: BEAR fund to help hedge against a downturn against the market? And if so what % of your portfolio do you allocate to shorting?
Would appreciate some personal opinions on this matter.

I only suggested the BEAR fund for those like myeslf with limited knowledge on shorting and seems easier to do through a fund.

Regards,

Ari
