I am using yahoo as the free data source to get asx share data. I found lots of errors. I am lucky to find it before it causes a disaster. Be careful if you are using that free crappy services as well.
IF its innacuracy is enough to cause a disaster , dont you think it would be wise to use different data ? even if you have to pay ?
Yeah, I am thinking of that. I didn't realize that the data they are providing are not accurate.

Yahoo post 2001 is fairly good, what data issues are you having? or for which stock?
I don't mind paying money for good services. But I will be happier if I can get it for free. I just didn't realize that the data they are providing is not correct. That makes me very upset. It's like they are handing out juice on the street for free but with poison inside. It is free, WTF do you expect. Trading and investing is a business, you have to spend money to get the right infrastructure in place to profit, this includes getting accurate data sources.
You only have yourself to blame.
Cheers
there was an excellent post recently from ASF user Richard Norgate, who sells data, outlining exactly what sort of errors are present in yahoo data.
i suggest you search for that "free data" thread under his username.
