Following Jamie Neale's money grab after his rescue in the Blue Mountains, perhaps a form of monitoring should be applied to Pommy backpackers.

There are a number of ways of doing this.
A chip could be inserted into their necks on arrival at Border Security that would activate when they got lost. A whinge would activate the chip and locate them via GPS.
They could be banned from National Parks and Large Shopping Centres, where the chances of getting lost are increased.
I wouldn't want to ban them altogether as most are good spenders and when sober , articulate and peaceful people, though at times unfamiliar with the English language.
