Automatic Subscription?

Why do I automatically get E-mail notification from every forum I make post and new post is made by another member.

Why I ask is that I did not subscribe to any threads? Not intentionally.

I follow unsubscribe link, unsubscribe, but new post makes the same happen again.

I found box with subscription, I changed it to do not subscribe and this might be it.
How did I change it to subscribe, no idea.

Automatic thread subscription is turned off here at ASF, although every member has control over their personal settings in their control panel.

I have it turned off as default because I understand how annoying those emails are to those who do not want them. However, I understand the usefulness of thread subscriptions for those who like to keep track of particular threads and would like to be notified when someone has added a post.

For those who would like to subscribe to a thread you will find the option in the 'Thread Tools' menu in each thread.

I got the email again, so obviously I did not unsubscribe successfully.

Can you show me what has to be done to unsubscribe?
I thought I did, proven otherwise.

Maybe you can do it for me, if possible, as I said I don't konw how I turned it on in a first place. I am not much good in computer things.
