Australian Residential Property Derivatives Here Yet?

About 9 months ago, The Australia wrote an article claiming that soon you will be able to buy a derivative through the ASX that allows you to invest in Aussie property without having to own any physical property. (See New Way to Buy a Piece of Property.)

However, I haven't heard of anything yet. Has this product come out yet?

Perhaps they are waiting for the market to bottom before releasing a product, so as to make it a successful launch.

They will launch this year if they get approval by regulators sometimes in August happy times ahead
