Australian rock bands have had an impact on most of us in someway with the raw energy of the AC/DC era to the passionate Human Frailty album by Hunters and Collectors.Some ripper bands have come and gone so if you have a chorus or a few lines (not too easy) of a song, fire away.

The first one is fairly easy.

Who sings ...

I think these lyrics are pretty relevant today.

And a far more difficult one to guess, from a very underrated Australian band IMO.

I've got that record (yes, record) somewhere. The D-Gen one that is. Can't believe that was 20 years ago!

Yep. Memories of new years eve on the beach at the Gold Coast. The D Gen had sub-titles for his singing .

Since when were INXS from Perth? Or did INXS just cover this song?
 
Weren't the Farriss bros. from WA? INXS was formed in Sydney. Loved their first single 'Just keep walking'. Le Hoodoo Gurus were from Perth before embarking on Sydney, line-up changes to become one of the greatest bands I'd every seen as an underage rebeller during their Like Wow Wipeout tour '86.

....how 'circumstances have changed'. From Gerigong to the safe labor seat of Kingsford Smith and a nice parliamentary salary to boot...

Not ashamed to admit I liked the Uncanny X-men's poppy rock style and many of those 80's rock tunes remind me of care-free summers - from Aussie Crawl, Mondo Rock's 'Come said the boy', The Flowers (as opposed to Icehouse), Divinyls, Mi-Sex, Spy v Spy, etc etc.
