Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to the August 2014 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 10 posts to enter.

2. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

3. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between August 1 and August 31.

5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Thursday, July 31 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Those who qualify, please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason. Also, you must be qualified when you enter.

Each month we usually have some members who do not qualify for the competition but enter anyway. If someone who has selected a stock hasn't yet qualified for the competition, their stock is officially up for grabs! Just mention it when you post your entry.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

Hi Joe,

What the hell? From top to bottom in a month! Ha ha, that's the market for ya.

SCI again thanks Joe.
Same reasons, I like the board and they have quality, prospective ground.

BLY thanks Joe. It is at a low and getting support for a miraculous recovery. If I could take side bets I would on this little monster's recovery.

gg

DNA Donaco thanks Joe

Casino in Vietnam on the Chinese border attracting Chinese visitors

Hopefully the tensions with Vietnam and China will improve!

The oil rig has been removed

NOD thanks Joe.

I felt like going with something a little Ben Graham-esque (close to an NCAV stock without a great discount) and I wanted to stay outside the materials sector.
For those new to it, that just means current assets - total liabilities is greater than the market valuation. Or (current assets - total liabilities) / shares outstanding gives you the net current asset value per share. current price / value NCAV per share gives you the discount.

Hey, I was gonna roll that one over from this months competition. :p:

SBB Chises Clothing retailer.
Worlds biggest consumer market, trading on cash backing..possible divie due soon.

High risk high reward....

BOL for me please.

Thinking the cash flowing through as a result of asset sales (and maybe a buy-back, as mentioned by management) should help the price.

AVB thanks Joe

AVB is moving from copper/gold explorer to processor. Just a matter of time

LMB please.

Graphite stock which recently merged with a Chinese company shortly after signing an offtake with them. It is the first vertically integrated graphite company on the ASX.

Hey Joe, I'll stick with KEY.
Drilling is underway and should reach TD by mid month. Hoping for a hit. Thanks

I'll give Kibaran, KNL a shot thanks Joe. Nearly picked it for July.
Graphite co. in Tanzania, and has had a great run up from 0.155c since the beginning of July to a close Fri of 0.515c.New assay results due in the next few weeks and resource upgrades at Epanko and Merelani and a following scoping study upgrade. Xlent prospects if the stars align.

KFE for me thanks Joe,

Gee that rhymes, shoulda been a poet.

Has been in the doldrums and management (who have big personal stakes) are not letting much out. Drop in ionore price not helping but at the, current level would not take much to see a sizable gain.

IMHO DYOR

AHZ - Admedus. Regained a bit of ground from their last cap raising @ $0.10, to recent close @ $0.13.
August might be a bit soon for their next round of trial results for a herpes vaccine, but an early whiff could put a boost under the SP.

Thanks, Joe!

WHN thanks Joe.

Seismic program under way in Seychelles - wondering if we get a hint of the quality of their prospects during the month - might be a bit early. Do I also sense a new deal somewhere in east Africa is in the winds. Maybe I am reading too much into their last report.

Can I pick one?

SXY - Senex Energy

This is my first time picking it.
