ASM - Australian Strategic Materials

Will send bigger amounts when the main plant is completed.
Riches await us.
Ooh, glad I've got that in writing.
And when are they supposed to be completing this main plant?
I don't want to start picking through the thread like a monkey looking for fleas...

No time frames for any of these plants, but the Korean one is in phase 1 commissioning.

I am going to bet the second plant will be in the USA.

Australian Strategic Metals (ASX: ASM): Positioned to Skyrocket Amid Trump’s Policies and Critical Supply Chain Shifts

Donald Trump’s re-election is already sending shockwaves through the markets, and Australian Strategic Metals (ASX: ASM) is uniquely positioned to capitalize on these seismic shifts. With tariffs on Chinese imports likely to return, ASM could emerge as a key player in the race to secure non-Chinese critical mineral supply chains—a move that aligns perfectly with Trump’s "America First" agenda.

Why ASM is the Stock to Watch Right Now

ASM specializes in rare earth and critical minerals, vital for clean energy, electric vehicles, defense technologies, and more. These materials are essential for building resilient, independent supply chains—exactly what Trump’s administration is expected to prioritize.

Here’s why $ASM is poised for explosive growth:

  1. Tariffs on China: Anticipated trade policies could disrupt Chinese mineral exports, putting ASM in the spotlight as a preferred supplier.
  2. Rising Global Demand: From the U.S. to Europe, countries are scrambling to secure rare earths for EVs, wind turbines, and advanced technologies. ASM is strategically positioned to meet this demand.
  3. Undervalued Stock: Trading below $1.20, ASM’s valuation doesn’t reflect its immense upside potential in a post-Trump election landscape.

Momentum is Building—10% or More Gains Ahead?

The market is buzzing, and bots are already picking up the chatter around $ASM. With Bitcoin ($BTC) surging and rare earth stocks gaining traction, ASM could ride the wave of renewed investor interest in hard assets. Analysts are already speculating a 10%+ breakout, driven by:

  • Increased U.S.-Australia trade collaborations.
  • Institutional investors pivoting to critical minerals.
  • Retail traders jumping on a short-squeeze opportunity reminiscent of $GME and $AMC.

Shorts Could Face a Major Blowout

The perfect storm is brewing for ASM. As optimism around Trump’s policies grows, short-sellers could find themselves in deep trouble. Similar to what we’ve seen in other high-momentum stocks, ASM has the potential to trigger a massive short squeeze, accelerating its rise and sending shares well past current levels.

The Path Forward

With Trump’s policies likely to amplify demand for critical minerals and secure supply chains, ASM is not just a stock—it’s a strategic opportunity. The market is primed for action, and Australian Strategic Metals is a strong candidate for significant gains in the coming weeks.

Price Target: $1.20—and this could just be the start.

The above is pretty much a word for word copy of a post on Hotcopper by a user called Sharequeen, who is one of those absolute coincidences, is also a first time poster.

This little puppy has been languishing in the ASX scrapheap for some time following its spectacular debut in early 2020.
However, it does have a mine, it has produced some rare earths, and this will continue at the plant in South Korea.
American interests will keep the funding going as the yanks are keen to wean the world off China's monopoly on REMS.
I hope.

The contrarian in me is keeping an eye on this. Rare earths had their fun in the sun in 2020-21 but China killed the story, much like they've done with nickel and graphite. The question is, how much longer can the rare earth prices be depressed or when do Western users have to move on to supply from Western sources. The crystal ball is cloudy.

And right on cue it hit a 52 week low this morning.
Sigh!

The Boss lady of ASM did a presentation at the RIU Explorers Conference a few days ago.
Against my better judgement, I tuned in to listen.
Finished it feeking quite impressed.
Have I been Conned (again)?

feeking quite impressed
It was a bit feeking impressive.
Can't help but get the feeling it's going to be big, but that's depending on the USAholes and the Russian fight promoter they call president.

I guess the share price is sitting in the "mine construction" trough of the lassonde curve.
More of a big long flat plain than a trough though.
Going to be a long drawn out process.
Some big offtake announcements might shake it up a bit temporarily.
