greenthousands of religious paintings in those European museums of course ... seen one seen em all - although this one by Caravaggio was "different".By contrast, when I was in the Army, one of the soldiers was an artist - I bought one of his paintings for $50 as I recall (refer attached) - took him about 1 hour to do lol - mixed up a bit of spackle, splashed it around with a paintscraper/spatula (with very deep relief) , painted it with a spray can held to one side so that the ridges and valleys became evident - and ended up with a scene like this - he was bludy brilliant.
