Good morning everyone and welcome to the April 2017 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

This month's competition is proudly sponsored by Pepperstone - The World's Leading Forex Broker.

Pepperstone is an Online Forex (FX) Trading Broker, providing traders across the globe with cutting edge forex trading technology to offer unmatched top tier liquidity, institutional grade spreads and the security of tight financial regulation. Pepperstone offers online forex trading through multiple forex trading platforms, including Metatrader 4, Webtrader and Apps for iPhone and Android.

Get started today and get up to $600 free brokerage!

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

3. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between April 1 and April 30.

4. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Friday, March 31 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

Please don't forget to post a brief reason explaining why you chose your competition entry. One or two sentences is enough (feel free to add a chart if your reason is TA based). If your entry is the same as the previous month and the reason for choosing it is the same then feel free to just post the same explanation again. Thank you!

Hello Joe. AVB is my pick. AVB is a copper explorer in Brazil which is moving into being a copper producer.

DDR please.

Nothing more than a guess in the short term.

FAR per normal selection still driling

CYP Cynata Therapeutics. They're in the business of medical treatments to mitigate transplant rejections / adverse side-effects.
Attracted some speculative attention from at least one major international investor (Fuji Film, Japan. I suppose they've got to find some sort of future, ... somewhere).
No reason to think this is gunna be the month, but an April by any other name.

Thanks Joe, & regards,
P

I'll take a punt with SCG thanks Joe. This has been sold down in recent months to $4.10 yesterday on the back of Anti Infrastructure and Anti Property investors seeking returns from Finance and Resources. I suspect the Finance bull has peaked and profit takers are starting to bail out. I expect there will be a return to safer shares in the weeks/months ahead as the "Trump" honeymoon fizzles out.

MMJ thanks, was meant to pick it again for march but got caught up in things last day of the month, so will post early. At least didn't forget to pick it where it matters :D. Lot of hype in the sector and has a bunch of news incoming. Subsidiary will list in canada shortly, first test harvest at a new facility, aims to get licence to sell its product in a bunch more european countries by end of next month.

PEX thanks Joe
they are not cash strapped, are continuously drilling this year,
and more good announcements should follow

DCC please Joe.

A little bit of positive news on the launch of their money transfer app. could send this one higher.

BMT thanks Joe.

Berkut Minerals Limited (“Berkut”) is a Perth-based mineral exploration company established with the purpose of acquiring, exploring and developing gold and other mineral deposits.

BOA Boadicea Resources, thanks Joe

Just a punt on whether Boadicea are taken over as Windward Resources WIN were last year. They are the closest to the Nova / Bollinger strike back in 2012 in the Fraser Range, WA. Shares are tightly held and not often traded. Last trade was at 20c over a week ago and buy/sell at 17c - 19.5c. Very high risk as a large buy or sell can cause the price to move sharply - maybe to 12c or 30c. Doesn't mean you would get 30c if it does move up as you could sit there in market depth for weeks.

MXC Thanks Joe.

There's potential for enormous growth in their arena as governments change their attitudes and see the medicinal benefits.

IFL, just a stab in the dark, on the premise of a consolidation of super funds.

I'm sceptical of Cannabis in medical studies. I know it's going gangbusters in the U.S, but believe they already have a strong cannabis culture/community.
My guess is the gov loosening regulation, similar to certain parts of the states; wouldn't have nearly as much demand as the U.S
Anyway, probably not the thread for this convo...love to hear your thoughts on it

MCE. Fat flag forming a handle for the cup. Historically has tended to chart truly and is capable of sharp rises. Possibility of 70's. Thanks.
